Clean Energy Smart Home is an interactive AR/VR experience that educates the user on how to lower their carbon footprint by changing a few simple things inside their house. Throughout the experience, there are several modules that the user can play through. Several considerations had to be made to ensure that the AR experience matched the VR.

I was in charge of all the environment/character/level design as well as shaders and VFX to ensure a consistent experience for the user.

House of the future guided by the digital assistant – Eddy

Welcome!

The user enters the experience with a tabletop overhead view of Southern California and it’s major locations as an introduction.

Carbon Footprint

Once inside, eddy walks you through each experience explaining how simple actions can improve your carbon emissions and how to reduce them (shown in red).

Breakdowns

The level is broken into 3 different sections. Zone 1 is where the player will reside and therefore should have the most visual fidelity. Zone 2 should have a mixed between physicals geometry and billboards and zone 3 should have strictly billboards to help with performance
